Overview

If your grievance ends up in a tribunal, the outcome often depends on 'contemporaneous evidence'—records made at the time the events happened.

A private diary or log is much more persuasive than trying to remember dates months later.

What you can do

  • Keep a log of dates, times, locations, and witnesses.
  • Forward non-confidential evidence (like threatening emails or changed rotas) to a personal account, being careful not to breach GDPR or company policy.
